Please note:

These are the basic models we restore and sell. This is meant to show the general differences between models and styles fore your selection process, it is not meant to be an exact. Representation of how each Vespa looked as it came off the assembly line in the 1950’s and 60’s.

General selection guidelines:

If you’re a women of smaller to medium build we recommend for around town driving the Vespa 50, VBB or ACMA. These come standard with 8" wheels.

The Vespa series we sell from smallest to largest is as follows: (1) Vespa 50, VBB, AMCA, VBC, VLB, and then the GS. These are also in order of slowest to fastest scooters. There are options for 8" or 10 wheels on the VBB, ACMA, and VBC. The VLB and Sprint always have 10" wheels. The Vespa 50 always comes with 8" wheels. The 10" wheels give a smoother ride especially at higher speeds, and raise the scooter off the ground a couple of inches. The VLB Sprint has a more powerful engine and transmission. There is a 56 tooth larger drive gear versus the 48 tooth for the VBB, VBC, AMCA. The Vespa 50 is a 50 CC engine and is the only engine this is on a 45 degree angle. The Vespa 50 has a top speed of about 38 MPH, and the VBB, AMCA, VBC, and VLB have a top speed of about 50-55 MPH providing they have the 10" wheels on them. The GS is the most powerful and with a top speed of about 60 MPH.

Other information:

All these models were produced in Italy, except the ACMA. Piaggio licensed the manufacture of these bikes in France. Many of these classic bikes are here due to the occupation of Vietnam for many years by France. We are lucky to have these scooters but there is a limited supply of older Scooters, so they are sold subject to availability only. The rarest scooter is the GS, or Grand Sport. These are very hard to find and a real collector bike. We offer these to our past customers on a preference first. These are registered customers who request these special bikes. Sign up as a customer and put your name on the list for the GS or ACMA versions. We can customize any of these scooters you’re your personal prefercnes, colors features, and upgrade options.
